Dunia - GIGI

Setelah barusan nonton acara Just Alvin di Metro TV yang menampilkan tema Sweet 17-an GIGI, saya jadi teringat sebuah lagu dari band yang kini beranggotakan Armand, Budjana, Thomas dan Hendi. Lagu dari album ke-2 GIGI (saya masih menyimpan kaset pitanya) yang berjudul Dunia. Judul lagu tersebut juga menjadi judul album band ini, dan meledakkan hit single Janji. Waktu itu formasinya masih diisi Armand, Budjana, Thomas, Baron dan Ronald.

Sebuah lagu yang menurut saya salah satu yang sangat bagus liriknya dari band ini.

Lagu Music Is My Radar ini terdapat pada album Blur The Best Of, ditempatkan sebagai lagu pamungkas alias track terakhir. Seperi biasa Band asal Inggris ini selalu membuat kejutan pada aransemen karya-karyanya, termasuk pada lagu ini. Dan pada sampul album Blur The Best Of tidak terdapat lirik lagu yang enak ini.

Norah Jones, Album Baru, dan Don-t Know Why

Berita gembira untuk para penggemar Norah Jones. Menurut situs resminya, Norah Jones akan mengeluarkan album baru yang diberi judul The Fall pada pertengahan bulan ini, tepatnya tanggal 17 November mendatang.


Kapan album barunya itu akan masuk ke Indonesia? Jawabannya tunggu saja.

Norah Jones melejit namanya setelah mengeluarkan lagu yang berjudul Don't Know Why, yang terdapat pada album pertamanya Come Away With Me. Irama jazz yang easy listening, dibalut dengan suaranya yang renyah, menjadikan ciri khas dari musikalitas Norah Jones. Penghargaan musik seperti Grammy Award pun banyak yang dia dapatkan waktu itu.

Bulan puasa saya selalu teringat dengan memori di kota kembang bersama 3 orang sahabat. Ditengah rembukkan menuntaskan proyek dari sekolah, kita dihadapkan dengan kesulitan finansial. Jalan-jalan sore, ngabuburit di Bandung, biarpun duit pas-pasan, duh indah nian...

Namun proyek musti jalan dan tak terasa buka puasa kan segera tiba. Duit terkumpul, tapi hanya cukup untuk ongkos pulang dan proyek sekolah. Dan yang terjadi Alhamdulillah, proyek dapat ide, ongkos utuh, tambah pahala sholat jamaah dan yang terpenting beuteung seubeuh euy!

Melihat layar televisi, kebanyakan gambarnya berisikan berita duka atas kematian ikon pop dunia Michael Jackson. Seakan seluruh dunia merasakan duka kepergian The King of Pop tersebut hik... hik... hik...

Bahkan di infotainment saya melihat komentar The King of Dangdut (lho???) yang begitu antusias, dia bilang "Semoga akhir hidupnya husnul hotimah (mengalami akhir hidup yang baik)". Kenapa The King of Dangdut yang biasa dipanggil Bang Haji bilang begitu? karena "Michael Jackson telah masuk Islam, kurang lebih dari dua tahun kemarin". Ini adalah sebuah anugrah dari Yang Maha Kuasa, jadi mari kita doakan bersama!
